Some pictures of Goldilea Viaduct west of Dumfries, entrance to "the long wood". This viaduct formerly carried the Dumfries-Castle Dougklas-Kirkcudbright branch line of the (former) Glasgow and South Western Railwayy over the valley to the NW of Goldielea House, and within its policies. It is built on a pronounced curve, and crosses the boundary between the parishes of Troqueer (to the NE) and Lochrutton (to the SW)
